Good ideas come from anywhere and all individuals are equally capable to produce them. A person’s rank, position, experience, background, or gender should be no barrier in the process of idea creation. Oftentimes, ideas coming from women in organisations are not as much valued as the ones from men. There is a biasness! If you’re biased about men being more creative and superior than women in the formation of ideas, you can’t be more wrong. Creativity and intelligence are linked to ones’ gender, rather they are the product of individual commitment, dedication and hard work. Women at workplaces often feel that their contribution and ideas are less valued because of who they are, not because of what merit their work holds.

While women may have a fair representation at the lower rungs of the corporate ladder, the top echelons in most organisations are predominated by men. There are invisible barriers and restrictions concerning women within organisations and how they coincide with their maternal duties. Within public relations companies themselves, the situation looks no different considering the fact that most of the strategic roles are controlled and filled by men.
